My very first film with La Femme. Just a few months after meeting them — and beginning what would become a documentary journey spanning sixteen years — I jumped into this wonderfully chaotic project as DOP. Directed by La Femme themselves, the film was conceived like a DIY short, somewhere between a B-movie and a collision of the cinematic references that had shaped the band’s youth. Raw, playful and made with instinct, very little distance and a lot of freedom. Looking back, it was the beginning of a long creative adventure together.
